i used tetraseal from the local wholesalers at £7 for 5l, i know rob 'the underseal' hughes used a lot of hammerite and waxoil on the many he has done too! depends what you can get hold of i suppose! you wouldnt go wrong with waxoil!

Good stuff, the one with waxoyl, the cheap tetrasyl is the stuff of legend which hardens and peels! The secret tho is getting it all bone dry and dust/mud/old crap free, if in boubt get some thinned out normal waxotyl into the front seams first and then put the other on And let it DRY before driving

I am a fan of Schultz myself but it is so much easier with a gin and compressor.
The good thing is that the BX seems sturdy so you don't really need to go mad at it to help preserve it just sensible proceedure I guess.

Just been out and sorted the little bit that the mot man picked up on (mid july!!!!!), only a 6x4" patch but my word i forgot how messy it is!!!!
all over the place!!!!!! turned out to be the waxoil i put on 2 1/2 years ago had a bit of water ingress! at least now the floor around the car is fully sealed lol!!
